Brock Update....June 26, 2008

Today the doctor gave me Brock's latest lab results. His platelets went down!! We are very excited about that. At this point, we do not know what that means for him, but it is better than them going up. We go back to the specialist tomorrow afternoon to discuss our next course of action. The good thing is that if his platelets stay in the normal range then we might be out of danger of the more serious issues. We will continue to have repeated lab work done to monitor the trend of his platelets. If they go back up, then there will be more testing. I am sure that we will still undergo some other testing after our appointment tomorrow, but I do not know what. I am very relieved right now that his platelets have gone down! Hopefully they will continue to decrease (as of right now they are only 4 points below the high range). Now, we just have to prepare for whatever comes next in this saga. Brock has been extremely tired lately (often taking 2 or 3 hour naps throughout the day). His lymph nodes are swollen and he had another bout of fever this weekend. Keep praying! I know the prayers are working!
